Latest Issue of Samara, the newsletter of the Millennium Seed Bank Partnership, now available

19th Jul 2013

We’re pleased to announce that issue 24 (January to June 2013) is now available to read on the Kew website: www.kew.org/msbp/samara <http://www.kew.org/msbp/samara>

This issue is a celebration of the huge diversity of edible wild plants, and their conservation throughout the MSBP and is timed to coincide with Kew’s summer festival, ‘IncrEdibles’.

Our lead article introduces the IncrEdibles festival and the MSBP contribution via our Crop Wild Relatives project. We also have articles outlining work to conserve the morama bean in Botswana, wild yams in Madagascar and juniper in the UK. We present collaborative research to better understand seed desiccation tolerance in tea and dormancy and germination in Vitis and Ribes. Plus we have our usual round-up of news from the Partnership.

We hope you enjoy this issue and, as always, welcome any feedback. You can email us with any comments at samara@kew.org
