Achieving food security in the face of climate change

30th Mar 2012

The Commission on Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Change has published a summary report on food security in the context of climate change. The report is primarily aimed at policy makers, but its review of the scientific evidence makes an interesting read and well worth a look.

This 20 page report is packed with facts – for example, in the UK 18% of total greenhouse gas emissions are linked to food supply chains and approximately 22% of household food and drink is wasted.

The report can be accessed at: http://ccafs.cgiar.org/sites/default/files/assets/docs/climate_food_commission-spm-nov2011.pdf
