This conference will bring together policymakers and key stakeholders to discuss the policy priorities for the UK food, drink and farming industry.

With expected discussion on the impact of the EU referendum on the UK’s food and farming sector, the seminar will also be a timely opportunity to discuss Defra’s industry-led 25-year plan to boost the growth of the UK’s food and farming sector, due out later this year.

Further planned sessions will assess the commercial opportunities and challenges for industry including next steps for UK brands internationally and their access to new and established markets, innovative approaches to improving efficiency, and issues for meeting the demand of new skills in the sector.

We are delighted that Sarah Church, Director, Food and Farming, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has agreed to deliver a keynote address at this seminar, together with Minette Batters, Deputy President, NFU; Rob Ward, Co-Founder, Grocery Accelerator; Steve Wearne, Director of Policy, Food Standards Agency; Paul Wilkinson, Chair, National Skills Academy for Food and Drink Manufacturing and a senior speaker confirmed from ADAS.

Calum Kerr MP, Shadow SNP Westminster Group Leader (Environment and Rural Affairs) has kindly agreed to chair part of this seminar. Additional senior participants are currently being approached.
